Welcome to the frontline of Los Santos. Law enforcement on Valley Of The Sun is split across three departments, each with its own station, roster, and radio channel:

  • SAPD — San Andreas Police Department, based at Mission Row.
    • •
  • SAHP — San Andreas Highway Patrol.
    • •
  • BCSO — Blaine County Sheriff's Office.

    • There is no separate "sheriff" job — BCSO deputies fill that role.

    🏢 Getting On Duty

    Each station has a duty point, wardrobe, and personal locker — walk up and interact (target):

  • Duty toggle puts you on the clock and enables department features (F6 menu, MDT, radio, dispatch calls).
    • •
  • Wardrobe lets you change into uniform and manage saved outfits.
    • •
  • Personal Locker is your private storage at the station.
    • •
  • Ranking officers (grade requirements below) also get access to a Boss Menu for managing the department's shared funds.

    • 🎖️ Grade Gates

    A handful of features are locked to a minimum grade, not just the job:

  • K9 deployment — SAPD/SAHP grade 3+, any grade for BCSO.
    • •
  • Department/CCTV creator (/departmentcreator) — SAPD/SAHP grade 6, BCSO grade 5, or server admin.
    • •
  • Advanced armoury weapons (pump shotgun, carbine rifle, flashbang, battering ram) — grade 2+ at the armoury.
    • •
  • Stock management in the armoury (restocking, per-grade limits) — grade 4+.

    • 📋 Core Workflow

    Almost everything you need day-to-day lives behind two things:

    •
  • F6 (or the ox_lib radial menu) opens the Police Menu — interactions, tickets, traffic tools, objects, MDT shortcut, K9, and radio.

  • /mdt opens the Mobile Data Terminal — suspect profiles, charges, warrants, reports, and reference material. See the MDT guide for the full breakdown.

    • Bodycams are expected to stay active on patrol; footage upload goes through the department's media provider automatically once equipped.
