Furry Justice: K9 Unit Guide 🐕

Trained K9s help track suspects and sniff out contraband. There is no standalone K9 command — everything runs through the radial menu.

🐕 Deployment

Open the Police Menu radial → K9 (only visible if your grade allows it: SAPD/SAHP grade 3+, any grade for BCSO). From there:

Deploy K9 — pick a breed (German Shepherd, Retriever, or Rottweiler) and spawn your partner.

Commands — once deployed, the radial gives you Follow, Stay, Sit, Lay, Search, Attack, Heel, and Dismiss.

🔍 Searching

Use Search near a suspect or vehicle. The dog sniffs for about 6 seconds within 5 metres and alerts you if it finds anything on the flagged-item list (currently: weed bricks, cocaine bricks, meth, lockpicks, and pistols).

⚖️ K9 Etiquette

K9s auto-despawn if you wander more than 300 metres away, so keep your partner nearby during a search. Treat deployment as an active tactical decision, not a toy — use it according to department policy for searches and apprehensions only.
