San Andreas Fire Department: Emergency Operations & Duty Guide 🚒

Welcome to the San Andreas Fire Department (SAFD) at Valley Of The Sun. As a Firefighter, your mission is to protect lives, property, and the environment through rapid emergency response, fire suppression, technical rescue, and emergency medical services.

---

📍 Getting Started: Going On Duty & Locker Station

Before you can respond to emergency calls, you must clock in on duty at the official fire station locker:

  • Location: Head to the Rockford Hills Fire Station (or any active fire station designated on your map).
  • Accessing the Locker: Approach the Locker Prop in the station apparatus bay and press 'E' (or 'G') to open the Duty & Locker Menu.
  • Clocking On Duty: Select Go On Duty. Only firefighters who are clocked on duty receive automated emergency dispatch alerts and have access to fire suppression equipment.
  • Equipping Turnout Gear: Use the locker to equip your heavy Firefighter Turnout Gear (Nomex jacket, turnout pants, boots, and helmet). Taking on/off gear takes 30 seconds for immersion.
  • IMPORTANT

Strict Job & Duty Protections: All specialized firefighting equipment (hoses, SCBA tanks, rescue tools) are strictly protected. You MUST have the `firefighter` job and be clocked ON DUTY to access and operate them.

📻 Emergency Dispatch & Incident System

When an incident occurs in your patrol zone (AOP), you will be notified automatically:

  • Automated Dispatch Alerts: Powered by cd_dispatch3d. When a fire or vehicle crash is reported, all on-duty firefighters receive an audio alert and a GPS waypoint.
  • Incident Scenarios (SmartFires & ScenarioManager): Fires spawn dynamically across Los Santos, Sandy Shores, and Paleto Bay. Incidents range from structure fires with trapped occupants to high-speed vehicle rollovers and brush fires.
  • Incident Tablet & Patrol Zones: On-duty firefighters can manage active calls, view incident severity, and coordinate unit response.
